Sitting on the famous Montjuïc Hill, the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC) showcases the diverse art and cultural heritage of Catalonia.

Fundació Joan Miró
Another incredible museum also located on the famous Montjuïc Hill, the Fundació Joan Miró pays homage to one of Catalonia's most influential artists, Joan Miró.
This contemporary art museum showcases an extraordinary collection of Miró's works, which includes paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and tapestries. Miró's vibrant colours and imaginative forms take visitors on a journey through his artistic vision. Poble Espanyol
Another property also located on Montjuïc Hill, Poble Espanyol is a little different to most other galleries and museums in that its part open-air museum. Poble Espanyol allows visitors to explore Spanish heritage and history including architecture, contemporary art, traditional live music and craft workshops together with family activities. Poble Espanyol takes a sample of local villages from all across Spain and has brought them together all in one place. It’s a 49,000 m2 village that was created in 1929 for the Barcelona International Exhibition and is made up of 117 buildings that represent the various cultures and architecture from across Spain and includes reproductions of streets from the various areas, along with each areas local crafts and artisans. You can watch the artisans create their own incredible products which are traditional to their areas across Spain. It includes food stalls, workshops and museum elements. Poble Espanyol is also home to the amazing Fran Daurel Museum which is a collection of some of the great artists works including pieces by Picasso, Dali and Miro, amongst others. Banksy Museum Barcelona
The illusive and unknown (in person) artist Banksy also has a space dedicated to his works in Barcelona, the Banksy Museum Barcelona. The museum is home to 130 pieces by the anonymous yet incredibly famous artist! The museum offers replicas of multiple pieces including Girl With Balloon and Girl Frisking Soldier.

Museu de la Xocolata de Barcelona - Chocolate Museum Barcelona
The list wouldn’t be complete without us mentioning the light-hearted but still serious Chocolate Museum in Barcelona! A firm favourite with the chocoholics amongst us! The museum offers the history on chocolate and how it became a vital part of Barcelona in the 15th century when Barcelona was a port for the sale and distribution of chocolate. You can learn how its made and even see some of the classic machinery used in the process. Oh, and naturally, with a chocolate museum you do of course get to sample some, should you wish to do so! Museu d'Història de Barcelona
