Antoni Gaudi's Amazing Sites

The Sagrada Familia

We've got one man to thank thank for several of Barcelona's most popular attractions. Antoni Gaudi, the late Catalan architect, responsible for one of the most popular tourist attractions across the whole of Spain let alone just Barcelona, the UNESCO World Heritage Site that is the Sagrada Familia.

The Sagrada Familia is the yet unfinished basilica that stands proudly in the centre of Barcelona and is probably one of the most recognizable landmarks the city (and country) has to offer.

The construction for the Sagrada Familia began in 1882 and it was due to be completed in 2026 but sadly due to various reasons the completion date has been delayed. The Sagrada Familia attracts an estimated 20,000,000 visitors each year that visit the area just to view it from the outside and with around 7,000,000 purchasing tickets to see the inside of the property, the Sagrada Familia is probably the most popular tourist attraction in Barcelona.

We offer various ticket types for the Sagrada Familia from just fast-track access to guided tours to access to the Sagrada Familia Towers. Our link below takes you to our Sagrada Familia home page where our most popular ticket options are listed.

In 2005 Casa Batlló was also given UNESCO World Heritage Site status as part of the 'Works of Gaudi' collection and Casa Batlló now welcomes around 1,000,000 visitors each year to enjoy its incredible designs. Gaudi designed the park to incorporate special areas such as the famous Monumental Zone. Park Güell is another Gaudi UNESCO World Heritage Site and welcomes over 1,000,000 visitors each year.
